Occasionally, the NZTA VIC stops working, and you can’t process your “Passed” vehicle WOF’s (or rechecks). Please follow these steps if you have to get the vehicle back to your customer before the NZTA VIC system comes back online.
In this situation, you use the eWOF Checksheet number on the WOF label in place of the System Authorisation Number, and you also tick the WOF Off-line box on the WOF label.
Instructions for getting the eWOF Check Sheet Number for a PASSED WOF when NZTA VIC is Offline
(1). To get the checksheet number, you can go into WOF Details, and in the System Authorisation Number box type “1234” as a temporary placeholder. DO NOT tick the box for “Details entered into VIC”

Click Close
(2). Tap on the Create eChecksheet-Pass button

(3). In the Check Sheet menu, tap on the + sign (shown as a minus below as it’s already open) at the right hand bottom of the screen and then tap on “Edit Inspection”. Go back into WOF details, and type in the Check Sheet number.

(4). Write the Check sheet number on the WOF label, and tick the “OFF-Line” box as shown below.

(5). If the NZTA VIC system comes back online before midnight of the same day, then you can go back in and Edit the Inspection from the Check Sheet menu (see step 3 above) and put in the NZTA VIC System Authorisation Number instead of the Check Sheet number.
