"It's all going good, it streamlines things. We're finding it working pretty well.
Having it on my phone is better than carrying around a bulky WOF pad and you set it down somewhere while you are doing the WOF on the vehicle and you have to go back and forth to it. Whereas with the phone you can enter the failed reasons as you actually check things.
So far finding it easy to use, and it fits in well with our processes. The other tech using it here has taken to it like a duck to water. It's very user friendly. For straight forward WOF's I think it saves around 5 to 10 minutes per WOF.
Also everything on the WOF Checksheet is legible, so it meets the VIRM requirements with our printed text meeting that 100%.
I like the proactiveness of revising it and improving it. I think that is an important part that it is being actively monitored and streamlined. In the small time that I have seen it, I can see that you have continuous improvements which gives me more confidence in the product."

Taking photos of the rego label on the windscreen of the car and the customer details off the repair order is really good, as sitting at the computer and writing all that stuff down is quite annoying.

It’s nice having it all digital on your phone. Or print out the check sheet if you want. It’s a very, very good system.
I like the recheck side of things where you can just put the rego in… Because, you know how people can say, oh, I haven't got my WOF paperwork with me, so you spend ages looking through the books to try and find it.
That could save you half an hour to an hour just looking through books, especially with two of us doing say 16 warrants a day. Times that by 15 days, you've got to go through 240 different warrants. That could be 5 books to look through!
And it's good how it drops off the recheck after 28 days. So you look for it, it's not there, you need another warrant, so it saves you looking back in the calendar going, okay, how many days ago did you come in?
It’s nice and easy, and it’s really good how you can write your own comments. Having photos on the WOF checksheet form is really, really good also."

"For me personally, it's been good. It's more handy than having to pull out a book and muck around with all that sort of jazz. When it comes to recheck time, everything's already in the system, so you're just banging out the recheck and away you go. It's definitely better in that aspect because we have multiple inspectors here.
We used to have our own books, and we'd have to write down the inspection sheet number with the invoice when a car failed. Then, when the customer brought the car back in for a recheck, you'd have to find and input the WOF check number and all that. It was a pain in the ass, to be honest, so it's definitely helped in that respect. It functions pretty well.
I’ve had no issues with how it works. It's been really good man."

"It's all good, haven't had any issues at all really, its been quite smooth. Finding it good, younger guys are quicker to pick it up, as were a little bit older. But we are all using it. Wouldn't go back to paper. We are definitely happy using it, and using it on every WOF that comes in.
The checksheets look more professional than the hand written forms we were using. I prefer to hand out your eWOF printed form, and its looks great having our logo on there too. Logo also makes it look more professional.
Rechecks are faster because we don't have to go back through and find them in a WOF book. That side of it is really easy. We use to run separate WOF books for each inspector, so if it was one of the other guys rechecks I would have to go back through and find it, where now it's just on my own phone that I'm using all the time. It's really good."

"We use an iPad to do everything. Absolutely love it, find it a lot easier. You can't really submit anything to NZTA if it's not done properly, the system doesn't allow you to move forward without the required fields to be filled out, which kind of eliminates that worry for being audited later and potentially things aren’t done properly, or we have left something out.
Just the fact that we don't have to worry and stress about that has just been amazing. We find it very user-friendly, really just happy with it. We literally have not used a WOF book since the start of 2025, it's been great."

"Its going real good. We were using Mechanics Desk eWOF and that is just a sheet where you tick boxes on, whereas this is more of a step forward with the way technology is going.
One thing that is really helpful for me is a a slightly older mechanic is the mic button, where I can use speech to txt to add reasons for rejections or comments.
We did some research and we purchased android phones for $199 for the VI's here to do eWOF's on so they don't have to use their own phones, and they are working well and processing everything fine.
If the WiFi drops in and out you can still use the eWOF system which is great, as I'm not having to pay for SIM card account plans for all those phones."

The photo option while you are doing a WOF is great. If there is anything it fails on you can take a photo and show the customer. Especially for rust, you can show them how bad it is and then the customer understands, and the customer is satisfied. It's great how it attaches the photos with the WOF checksheet, and there is a copy for our reference to. Photos are also working really well for tyres.
It's great that as soon as you complete the WOF we get automatically emailed a backup copy of the WOF checksheet, makes my life so much easier.

"As soon as I spoke to you (Glenn) I sign up and I was doing them 5 minutes later and I've never looked back. I haven't touched another WOF sheet. I'm finding the system really straight forward, I've got it on my phone which I use most of the time, and I have also got in on our 3 different diagnostic tools as well.
The first day I started using it I went to the closest workshops to me and said check this out, it's so easy.
For a lot of people it feels like a big step to take, but realistically its not, its quite straight forward. You don't need to deal with the paper and the records are so much easier to find and deal with.
It's far easier than going through a box of paper when you need to find a WOF sheet from a week ago. Its much easier to find and email the WOF sheet to the customer through your eWOF system."

"It's a lot easier, I like the Pass All feature. Instead of having to tick every box after checking the vehicle, if they all pass, you can press Pass All. It works brilliant, I love it. Being able to email the customers that the car is all done, and good to go, or if it failed is great.
Taking photos with the car on the hoist is brilliant. I take the photo with my phone. Rather than having to put the car back up on the hoist, I can say here is the WOF sheet, and here is the photo of the bush or tyre and this is why the vehicle has failed.
I email the customer the photos with the checksheet as well, and the customers love it as they can see exactly what is wrong. It helps customers to believe the items needs doing. For example, the car might have only done 3000 km's since the last WOF, but the photo clearly show the issue. Especially with loaded or unloaded suspension bushes, you can take a photo of the big split through the bush. It just confirms everything with the customer, which is really good.
I'm pretty stoked with it, it works really good, and I don't have to have a lot of WOF book in my draw."

"Very user friendly and easy to navigate. It was an easy transition from paper to electronic WOF's.
We have emailed a few of the checksheets off now with photos included, and the customers are quite appreciative of seeing why they failed and what the issues are. We failed a vehicle the other day for rust and we put the customer onto a panel beater. She was able to show him on her phone where the rust was without having to get under the car.
Definitely seems a lot quicker than using a paper based check sheet. My partner is in the office and she will quite often go out and take the photo of the rego label to get all the vehicle details, and also a photo from Xero to get the customer details. Saves the WOF inspector time having the WOF's pre populated, saved as drafts and ready to go."

"Rechecks are definitely easier, because they are right there. It's great if you have multiple WOF inspectors, as if one inspector fails the WOF and another inspector does the recheck then you don't have to search back through the WOF sheets.
It's easier for duplicating a WOF sheet if somebody loses their WOF checksheet. It's just way easier for us to maintain our systems. It's definitely easy to save all the backup WOF checksheets into a folder in our email system. We also save them to our computer system and pop them onto every job. So if we look up the job the WOF sheet is right there with it.
